Register for FREE National Alliance on Mental Health Parent Workshop at Russell on September 25!

Posted Date: 09/03/25 (09:00 AM)

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a time for promoting awareness, reducing stigma, starting conversations about mental health, recognizing warning signs for suicide, and connecting people to resources and services.

Last year Thomas Russell Middle School hosted the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Ending the Silence for Families, a presentation for adults with middle or high school aged youth that includes warning signs, facts and statistics, how to talk with your child, and how to work with school staff. The workshop was well received, so this year we are expanding the workshop to all families with students in middle or high school on September 25th 5:30-7:00.
