Advisors assist students with career and college choices. Students are given opportunities to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), participate in field trips to local community colleges and the Silicon Valley Career Technical Education campus, listen to presentations by community college speakers on and off campus, and investigate all post-secondary options. Students may also explore career opportunities during our Career and College Fair and via the Internet.
Students who want to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or other college-oriented tests, or take the California High School Proficiency Exam (CHSPE) may get information and applications from the school counselor. Whenever possible, placement/assessment tests for local community colleges will be made available to students on the Cal Hills campus. The school counselor also provides financial aid presentations/workshops and extensive assistance in completing forms and other follow-through.
If you are unsure of what application to complete, see your advisor or counselor.
